This Poem Does Not Work

I got a hat that's made out of linen and silk
Got a shirt that's made out of wool
Got Socks that are made out of leather
Got a cotton lined pair of shoes

I got a TV screen that has a flush on its side
I can drain out of all of the boring crap
Got a bedroom heater that powers like a king
But it still doesn't keep me warm inside

I know
This will never work
But you don't know
That all i need to get these things to work is You
Yeah, it's You
Ohh, all i need is You

I got a toaster oven that runs on fuel
Got a smashed up car that runs on sand
Got a beach where i can't swim in the ocean
But the sun, it shines so damn bright

I got bar stolen coasters that i never use
Got a kitchen table where i make a mess
Got a blender where i blend no juices
Cause the water that runs tastes like lead

I know
This will never work
But you don't know
That all i need to get these things to work is You
Yeah, it's You
Ohh, all i need is You

I got a do care, swing low style of love
Got an empty wallet to back it all up
Got a don't care, sword high style of hate
Got a real loud mouth to follow it up

I got dead plant pots that i use for an ashtray
Got dirty rotten eggs on my breakfast plate
Got a hundred dollar bill for a parking ticket
That i just won't pay till my car gets towed

I know
This will never work
But you don't know
That all i need to get these things to work is You
Yeah, it's You
Ohh, all i need is You

I got jackets in my closet covered up in soot
I got Bod Dylan records that are all so scratched
I got sixty nine positions that i can think of
When i am thinking of doing Yoga with you

I got a big bad heartache from the morning before
Got dreams to heal it all
Got a loser ambition and a real long drive
Got the dictionary open where the word says "Paradox"

I know
This will never work
No, no, no
This will never work
